What are Concrete Blocks and Pallets?

Concrete blocks have a tough exterior that holds all kinds of weather, but making these is an inside job. The production starts with crushed rock and sand. This collection is limestone based. The mix can be altered for variable strength and finishes. A conveyor delivers a collection of minerals to a huge mixer. Beaters turn the ingredients into a thick ready mix.

Next is the ConcreteBlock Pallets that give shape to the blocks. The pallets employ the use of rigid bodies capable of supporting a concrete product. Usually these are made of very dense and high quality plywood. The layers of the pallets for concrete blocks are treated with waterproof resin and pressed under very high temperature and pressure to smoothen it. These Pallets for Concrete Blocks are single solid pieces without any gaps in the joints.

The two main types of the pallets are:

  • Standard production boards - Having semi smooth surfaces made of a wear resistant shuttering film face. These surfaces enhance the stiffness of the production board and prevent deflection. Precautions are taken to ensure there is no de-laminating or moisture absorption.

  • PRO - Has semi smooth surfaces on either side of the laminated fiber layers. This enables a high wear resistible surface protection.

The Pallets for block machine are made waterproof after treating it with waterproof resin.

Manufacturing process:

The Concrete Block Pallets are made by heating and pressing procedures in fully automatic machines by using established and well researched combination of resin and fiber. Depending upon the need, the manufacturing of the pallets is correctly calibrated and machined to produce the precise size required.

Pallet size:

The Pallets for Concrete Blocks can come in any size depending on the requirement. These can vary from a small size of 550 x 400mm up to 1500 x 1500mm.

Packaging:

A single bundle containing the number of pallets depends on the thickness of the production boards. Normally the boards are bundled into packages of twenty each. Steel straps are used to secure the wrapping of the bundles.

Benefits:

  • Excellent vibration properties.
  • No moisture issues, even if chipped.
  • Faster cycle period leading to higher production.
  • Offers little wear to moulds and machines.
  • Requires less energy (power) for producing the same number of concrete blocks.

The above discussed features and benefits make it clear that the pallets are capable of effectively supporting concrete for a long time.

How are Concrete Block Pallets Better than Stringer Pallets?

Stringer pallets where the only pallets that existed before block pallets came into existence. The whole point of pallets is to act as a support structure or foundation for heavy goods during shipment. Hence, the stronger a pallet is, the higher the demand for its usage in the shipping industry. Concrete Block Pallets are much sturdier than common stringer pallets, which are built by combining pieces of timber together. Pallets for Concrete Blocks work both vertical and horizontal way to enhance the load-handling capacity of the pallets. The pallets jacks that are used to move such pallets can be used from four sides in case of Concrete Block Pallets, which one of the major advantages that it enjoys compared to normal stringer pallets. They are traditionally built as Pallets for block machine, and hence, are specially designed provide excellent support base for heavy machinery and finished product stacking.

Other benefits of concrete block pallets
There are a number of advantages that Pallets for Concrete Blocks enjoys over stringer pallets. Some of them are:
·         They are 100% waterproof, as compared to stringer pallets, which are made of wood and hence are prone to getting wet during rainy seasons. It is a common knowledge that wet wood is a lot more vulnerable and prone to breakage than dry wood. Hence, while stringer pallets fail to perform in the same manner in rainy season, concrete pallets does not have that weakness and hence can efficiently perform under the harshest of seasons.
·         They are designed to withstand up to 70 degree of heat and are completely fire resistant, which a stringer pallet can never claim to be. The main ingredient of a stringer pallet, that is wood, makes it prone to getting burnt under the slightest influence of heat or fire, making it highly dangerous in case a fire was to break out in a storage facility or shipping docks containing these pallets.
·         Durability is a major factor when it comes to choosing pallets for shipping purposes and concrete pallets wins in this regard hands down. There are minimum chances of wear and tear of these pallets due to the fact that they cannot be infected by harmful agents such as fungus, bacteria or termites, which are known to eat away at wood structures, making concrete pallets a lot more durable than normal stringer pallets.
·         In case of mishandling of these pallets, they still stand their ground since they are made of unbreakable materials.

Hardwood Pallets - Wooden Pallets for Concrete Products.

Hardwood Pallets - Worldwide supplier of Quality Wooden Pallets used in Concrete Block Machine for manufacturing Concrete Blocks, Pavers and Kerb stones.

Wooden pallets, also referred to as wooden production boards, have been the traditional pallets for concrete products manufacturing. Although Hardwood Pallets For Concrete Blocks are made from different varieties of wood, our hardwood pallets are made from Tropical Hardwood, Yellow Balau and other special hardwood. As the name suggests, hardwood pallets are much more harder in terms of density, strength and durability, and therefore, last much more than production boards made from softwood.

How are Concrete Pavers manufactured in a factory using Steel Pallets?

Many youngsters have asked me about the use of Steel Pallets for ConcreteBlock Machines. They have asked how we manufacture concrete pavers in the factory. Today, we are going to discuss in detail the process of manufacturing concrete pavers in factories around the world.

The manufacturing of the Concrete paving stone starts with crushed stone, sand, cement and water along with a few chemicals and colors depending upon how we are going to follow the process of manufacturing. To begin with, measured quantities of cement, sand, crushed stone, water and chemicals are mixed together in a mixer inside the factory. The mixture so obtained, called concrete, is conveyed using belts and automated buckets know that mean machine known as the Concrete Block machine. This machine has a hopper in which the fresh concrete is dumped. Now, we have moulds manufactured from high-grade steel that would create a shape of the required paver when filled with concrete and compressed. In modern machines, we do not use only the hydraulic forceful compression but also vibration as the main force for compaction of the fresh concrete.  Strong vibrations ensure that the concrete is compressed in equal proportions in all corners of the paver. This uniform compression gives structural strength to the paver as well as long life under extreme atmospheric and conditions.

The machine needs a strong steel production board for concrete blocks. It must have qualities of vibration transmission, and reasonably high modulus of elasticity to ensure that all the energy meant for compression is transferred to the fresh concrete. We have a choice of using wood, plastic or steel used as this production pallet. Steel Pallets for Concrete Block Machine is an excellent choice from technical point of view because it is able to transfer the majority of vibrations from the machine onto the moulds. This insures complete transfer of energy from machine to the mould and effectively to the fresh concrete helping in absolute formation of required concrete paver.

Fresh concrete from the hopper in the machine is dropped in measured proportion into the mould. The mould rests on Steel pallet, and when the fresh concrete drops all the mould, it takes the shape of mould that then needs to be compressed.  We use energy in the form of vibrations as well as hydraulic compression from the electrical energy said to the machine separately. Extremely high hydraulic pressure as well as vibrations using frequency control vibrators is applied to pallets and the moulds depending upon the variety of algorithmic factors determined by the creator of the block machine.
